Dr. Kemp received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science and her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Health Studies from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Rollins College, located in Winter Park, Florida. Prior to practicing Acupuncture, Dr. Kemp developed and taught Environmental Education curricula in Forest & Coastal Ecology and Marine Biology. She also facilitated Ropes Courses to teach empowerment and leadership skills to diverse populations ranging from third graders and high school students to Vietnam veterans. She then spent two years in management for a sports nutrition company, where she had rigorous training and did extensive research on nutrition, biochemistry, and physiology.
Dr. Kemp is a Nationally Board Certified, Licensed Acupuncturist who relocated to North Carolina in 2004 from Florida and has been practicing at the Acupuncture & Wellness Center in Cary for 20 years. She is passionate about the medicine she practices and takes her patients’ health care seriously. Dr. Kemp is a fitness enthusiast and is extremely focused on dietary discipline. She is a member of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the American Acupuncture Council, and the North Carolina Society of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine. She is currently serving as a board member on the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board.
